Flashback Friday

I had a request to bring back Flashback Friday's now that I'm blogging semi-regularly again.  So, here are the first two hooded towels that I made.  This was before I had my own embroidery machine - I was using my mom's.  It's fun to do the designs on the different color towels, but much easier for orders and stuff to just keep things on white.
This little hippo that I did was the first time I tried out applique on the embroidery machine.  It wasn't perfect, but I think it's so cute.  I've learned a lot since I made these towels.  I think I made these in 2005.

Flashback Friday

This is the first "quilt" that I free motion quilted. I did it as a practice before I did a bigger quilt. This was just a yard of fabric. I made it for Sweet Pea to have at school. Her favorite color is blue and she loves dogs and cats so the fabric was perfect. I made this in August of 2009.

Flashback Friday

Today's Flashback Friday is a burp cloth I made in November of 2007. I embroidered the name, sewed the edges of the burp cloth into the middle and then sewed the fabric on the ends.

Flashback Friday

I made this purse in July 2007. It was made for an auction at our annual Cousin's Reunion. Here is the inside.

I am participating in Fabric Friday.

Flashback Friday

I'm going to use Flashback Friday as a way to share things that I've made in the past.

I made the overalls on the left for Sweet Pea in 2006. She was 2 years old at the time. They are school spirit overalls for Texas A&M. Sorry the pictures aren't that great - somehow I didn't get pictures of them up close. You should be able to see them a little bit better if you click on the pictures.
Note: my brother made his overalls.
